    Berlin, 2006

    In cooperation with brassband ‘Freie Spielleute Neukölln’

    Assignment of ‘Okkupation’, a manifestation about urban public space

    Location:
    Gropiuspassage; Richardplatz; Parchimerallee;

    To visualise the ‘Berlin meridian’ that was found by Norbert Mayer (Norbert Mayer part I), the local brass band was invited to develop a performance. They marched on the soundline and acted as if they played without making any noise. They performed during four days on four different locations in Neukölln.

    Location: Victorieplein, Amsterdam

    Materials used: iron; foam; flowers; rope; flag
    Dimensions tent: w: 200 cm h: 200 cm l: 300 cm
    The former ideas of the architect H. Berlage were honored as a reaction to the actual political attitude towards the arts.
    In order to rehabilitate his ideas five emergency tents were made of flowers (hyacinths and tulips) and placed around the monument that was erected for him.

    Special thanks to:
    Bloemencorso Bollenstreek
    Jongerenvereniging X-Out
    All volunteers that helped putting the flowers on place.
