    Tongeren (B) 2007

In the context of the manifestation ‘Artuatuca’

    Site specific installation
    Barbed wire, torn pieces of clothing: 85 m x 0,60 m

    Location:
Wall around Saint Catherine beguinage (1499).

Nuns had to be protected against murderers, thieves and rapists, although their main occupation was educating and feeding orphans and the poor.

    Installation:
All along the wall of the St. Catherine beguinage barbed wire was installed with the remains of torn clothing in it. It is unclear wether the clothing derived from people entering or fleeing the beguinage.

    Amsterdam, 2011
    Site-specific installation
    Location: Victorieplein, Amsterdam

Materials used: iron; foam; flowers; rope; flag
    Dimensions tent: w: 200 cm h: 200 cm l: 300 cm
The former ideas of the architect H. Berlage were honored as a reaction to the actual political attitude towards the arts.
In order to rehabilitate his ideas five emergency tents were made of flowers (hyacinths and tulips) and placed around the monument that was erected for him.

    Special thanks to:
    Bloemencorso Bollenstreek
    Jongerenvereniging X-Out
All volunteers that helped putting the flowers on place.
